Build Trust
Like a detective, a commissioner must build the trust of the people they serve. It is earned, not inherited by default. A vote for John is a vote for a full time commissioner, who will maintain an active presence in the community in order to get to know the citizens of Charlotte County. John will work towards rebuilding the public’s trust in our local government.
Communicate clearly
Good communication creates transparency and accountability. John pledges to always communicate with members of the community at their level, explaining the highly technical information that frequently appears in county business in a way the public can understand, and not play shell games with confusing jargon or whitewash the truth when the truth hurts.
Be ready to act
As we have learned through multiple hurricanes, COVID-19, and the housing crisis of 2008, everything can change at a moment’s notice. John’s experience in law enforcement brings to the table the ability make quick, confident decisions
when it matters most.
